What’s Included in the Latest update?

🚀 More Power with Launch Mode Expansion

Rivian is unlocking even more performance across its lineup. With 2026.03:

  • Gen 1 Quad-Motor and Dual-Motor Performance (Gen1 + Gen2) now gain Launch Mode
  • Experience faster acceleration and more aggressive power delivery
  • Activated through Sport Mode with a simple brake + accelerator hold This brings one of Rivian’s most exciting performance features to a much wider group of drivers.

Apple Watch App Arrives

A brand-new Apple Watch app lets you control your Rivian straight from your wrist:

  • Lock/unlock your vehicle
  • Access key features without needing your phone
  • Perfect for quick trips, workouts, or adventures without carrying your iPhone

It’s a small addition that adds big convenience.

🏎️ Sport Mode Gets More Flexible

Rivian is responding directly to driver feedback:

  • You can now use Standard Ride Height in Sport Mode
  • Expanded Sport Mode availability across Dual-Motor variants
  • Improved tuning based on battery chemistry (NMC vs LFP)
  • Sharper throttle response and more dynamic handling

This gives drivers more control over both performance and comfort.

🧠 Driver Assistance Gets More Adaptive

With 2026.03, Rivian makes Driver+ and Autonomy+ more flexible:

  • Adjust Drive Modes (like All-Purpose → Conserve) while assistance is active
  • Modify ride height and comfort settings without disengaging
  • Features like Highway Assist and Universal Hands-Free remain active during adjustments

This is a subtle but meaningful upgrade for real-world driving.

📉 More Ways to Kneel

Rivian continues improving accessibility:

  • New “Lower” ride height option (even lower than “Low”)
  • Activate Kneel Mode from all on-road drive modes
  • Works from High ride height and even on uneven terrain

Getting in and out of your Rivian just got easier for everyone.

❄️ Smarter Cold Weather Range Insights

Winter driving gets more transparent with new energy visuals:

  • A blue shading indicator shows when cold temps are limiting range
  • Displays how much energy is being used to warm the battery
  • Visible in both the driver display and mobile app

This helps drivers better understand real-world range in colder conditions.

⚙️ A Smarter, More Personalized Drive

while performance is the headline, 2026.03 is really about refinement—making your Rivian more adaptable, more intuitive, and more aligned with how you actually drive every day.
